NETFLIX partnered with Discover Truenorth for their Corporate Offsite. One part of that was to put together three evening events.

Theme setup and set build-out took the team over 1 week to complete with all material shipped over to the island by boats.

Transfers from mainland to Viðey island by 2 boats transferrin approximately 200 people at a time

10 x Outdoor food stations serving five dierent types of cuisine.

5 x Full service bars with standard menus in addition to special themed cocktails.

Lounge seating in multiple glamping tents as well as outdoor seating around bonfires.

Internationally known Icelandic musician Ásgeir Trausti performed for guests and a local DJ followed Ásgeir’s act and closed the night.
Hess Club / Allianz
The Hess Club is a high-level members’club for Allianz’s top salespeople who are invited on a grand international trip bi-yearly.
Iceland was picked as the destination and Discover Truenorth produced their final night gala event held at Thingvellir National Park & UNESCO Heritage site. No suitable venue was located at Thingvellir. A mobile architecture event space was brought in for the event. 650 guests attended and an award-winning culinary team from Iceland catered the six-course gala dinner under the management of Discover Truenorth. The event was headlined by Helena Fischer, a German superstar, while many of Iceland’s top musical talents performed during the cocktail reception and dinner.
H&M
Discover Truenorth managed all four H&M store openings in Iceland
complete with a red-carpet opening ceremony DJs, where thousands of people queued. The first three in line received a valuable gift certificate at H&M. Discover Truenorth, in partnership with Döðlur PR company, also managed the VIP event held ahead of the H&M flagship store opening in Smáralind, where each guest received a valuable gift bag and live bands performed at the event.
Sense 8 – Wrap Party
Discover Truenorth planned and managed a global wrap party for NETFLIX
Original series Sense8, which was partially filmed in Iceland and serviced by Discover Truenorth’s sister company Truenorth. Directors, Actors, Producers and other guests travelled to Iceland for a premier at Harpa concert hall. This was followed by a glamourous event which included dinner, open bar and DJ sets. Due to non-disclosure, no pictures can be shared from the event.
Heineken
Heineken contracted Discover Truenorth to produce a major event.
Launch of a new beer product under the Heineken brand. The two-day event included a product presentation for industry professionals and media all of whom were flown to Iceland, including two evening events. The first evening event was held at Harpa concert hall and celebrated their range of products in addition to their new product Edelweiss Beer. The event entertainment was elaborate with game stations set up for teams to compete, a large-scale inflatable velcro wall and a set from an international DJ. The second evening event was held at Reykjavik Art Museum, and featured Fire & Ice themed decorations and a back-to-back DJ set by Reykjavik’s legendary DJ duo Margeir & Yamaho.
